Red nose Remedy

Objective/naming process

In this project, I worked with a team of students to name and brand a nonprofit entertainment organization. This organization is made up of a group of professional clowns who visit children’s hospitals to cheer up children who are ill.

Our first part of the creative process included creating a list of over 20 names and allowing others to vote on the best one. The top five name options chosen were all names I created (left).

Logo & Tagline Ideation

After some more deliberation, our design team and our client agreed that the best two names were “Best Medicine” and “Red Nose Remedy”. Then, several of us created logos that represented those names. These were some of my early stage logo designs.

During this stage, we also brainstormed taglines, and my tagline was chosen: “Laughter heals”. You will see it implemented on the next stage.

logo development

The logo design chosen was by another team member, Diane Martin. The original logo she designed is pictured on the left. I was given the task to refine and finalize this logo design, which you can see in the next stage.

development

I softened the edges of the logo design, changed the tracking on the word “Remedy”, and made other small changes in order to get us to this point.
