Objective

To create a sticker that represents each enneagram type, each displaying an animal and plant that best depicts the nature of that type. For the purposes of this case study, I will only show the process behind the Enneagram type 4, the Individualist.

Ideation

When deciding on a creature to represent the type four, I chose a moth because of its desire seek out the light reminded me of how type fours seek out enlightenment and clarity of their own sense of self. Also, like fours, moths are often misunderstood, but beautiful if you take the time to notice them for what they are. I chose forget-me-nots to represent the four’s desire to be remembered/to create a legacy.

digital development

After creating the initial drawing, I took it into Procreate to trace the linework in a digital format. This was the first layer I created.

Coloring

I then colored in the linework in a layer below the linework layer, resulting in the final design. All that was left to do was to order the stickers.
